My student loan was sold to AES from Chase last year. They immediately lowered my auto payment from $100 to $50 without my approval. This is an attempt to extend my payment period keep my principle higher so they can get more money from me. When I went to their website to increase my payment back to what it was they make fill out a bunch of unnecessary information.. They even make you create a PIN! I've never had such a hard time trying to sign...

My daughter has a several school loans, one of which is serviced by AES.Over the past 18 months, she has had numerous problems with the company. Funds leave her bank account and are routinely rejected by AES. She finally had a couple of months of successful payments, then they changed her account number and now, again, payment issues on their end followed by threatening letters. I think I will start a crowd-funding to hire attorneys to hit them...

AES is the most annoying, aggravating and difficult outfit I've ever dealt with. They make it nearly impossible to PAY on the loan, but then are very speedy with letters of delinquency and ruining credit ratings. We have made phone calls, sent letters, everything we can think of to simply facilitate payment of these loans, but AES sets barriers in our way at every turn. They seem soooo obsessed with my identity when I call to make payments, if...

I don't have enough room here to fully explain all the details. Lets say that they've lost/misplaced and started my loans over from the very beginning several times. I first took out a regular personal bank loan around March of 1996 from SPE Credit Union in State College Pa, for the approved amount of $2000 to help fund my education costs. SPE then took liberties with my info and applied for Federal education loans on my behalf which I never...

This is the worst company to deal with. For over 2 months we have been trying to lower payments from a student loan. My daughter was in the Peace Corps for 2 years, when she returned she was able to get a job with a non profit company, but was not able to make the payments for her student loan. For over 4 months we have been contacting them for assistance with a hardship deferment or any other lowering payment assistant. They continuously...

My son took out a loan with another lender which was purchased by NCT and administered by AES. He went into the Marines and requested a military deferment; thinking interest would stop while serving. No, but his balanced almost doubled...as co-signer I was never informed of deferment. He is 90% disabled due to injury while serving in Afganistan. Under the circumstances we are attempting to have the pre-deferment balance restored so he can afford...
